… until every last drop of Gazan blood has been spilt
A letter to Mr Netanyahu

Dear Mr Netanyahu
We, the remaining Palestinians of Gaza, humbly acknowledge that the existence of Jewish kingdoms on our territory in ancient times, served as ample justification for the creation of modern Israel, your Jewish homeland, in Palestine in 1948 – even though the 3000-year-old precedents were a touch outdated.
Please forgive us for taking umbrage at your invasion, at your ruthless mass displacement of our people, and at your subsequent expanded control of our beloved land.
Alas, our retaliations since 1948 have been most insensitive. We should have known better. We should have respected the profound religious significance of your divinely promised land, and left you in peace as the legitimate owners.
Sadly, in the intervening years, we Gazans have suffered terribly at the hands of Israelis, but do not feel guilty - we know we brought these reprisals on ourselves. After all, we are mere Arabs with no rights.
In recent times, your escalation of offensives in Gaza has been well-deserved punishment for the misbehaviour of Hamas on 7 October 2023.
Mind you, we do think the mass slaughter and starvation of our people – men, women and children - has been a bit over the top.
But go right ahead and keep on your path of genocide until every last drop of Gazan blood has been spilt.
Then we will be at peace. No more suffering.
