Apparently, Little Sam thinks Mr Vance and Uncle Donald are dumb

Today we talk about the word ‘dumb’ and when it is dumb to use the word dumb. Here is an example:
During sensitive peace talks, it would be really dumb to say the enemy is dumb because they might get angry - and that could ruin negotiations.

I agree with you teacher. It was really dumb of Mr Vance to say Iran didn’t understand a vital point that is simple and explicit. That’s basically calling Iran dumb, because the 10-point plan clearly says Lebanon is included in the ceasefire deal.
That’s what Iran rightly says, but Mr Vance and my Uncle Donald say it was not part of the deal. Mr Vance was even dumber to say that Iran would be “dumb” to let talks collapse over Lebanon. That’s very unhelpful in a crisis situation. It’s dumb.
But the problem is, if you really are dumb, you can’t help it - so it’s dumb to pretend you’re not dumb when you really are, just like my Uncle Donald and lots of others in the White House.
