Donald Trump was Coca-Cola’s most acclaimed consumer and advocate of its products, especially Diet Coke. And that was a marketing boon for the Coca-Cola company.
But now as Trump’s popularity plummets into disapproval and indeed disgust, his affiliation with Coke has executives worried.
“This is causing significant brand damage. People everywhere are calling Coke ‘the drink of losers’ and moving over to Pepsi.” said one top executive. “Our stock prices are tumbling. This is serious.
“We are imploring the president to switch to Pepsi, but he refuses. He says he is not prepared to look like a fraud unless there’s a sizeable, secret Coca-Cola share portfolio in it for him.”
The Diet Coke button on Trump’s desk has been renamed Diet Pepsi, but now it delivers Diet Coke in Diet Pepsi bottles. Very sneaky!
